Career Assessment
Do you dread going to work each morning? Did you “follow your passion” but now find yourself feeling unfulfilled and frustrated? Are you wondering if changing careers is the right move for you?
To experience a fully happy life, it’s important to have a career that you love. If you are dissatisfied with your career, this dissatisfaction can lead to stress, anxiety and even depression. This unhappiness can also bleed over into your personal life, negatively impacting the relationships you have with friends and loved ones.
Career assessment can help you choose a career or completely change your career at any stage in your life. Embarking on a new career, though exciting, can also be incredibly stressful, and some people find they could use some help navigating the journey. I work with college students and new grads as well as mid-to later-career folks.
What Is Involved In A Career Assessment?
A career assessment at Psychological Strategies includes the following:
— a thorough intake session, during which time we’ll explore a variety of aspects of your personal background, job history, values, and hopes for the future;
— interpretation of 4 assessments (interest/abilities inventory, 2 types of personality assessments, and a values exercise);
— write-up of a report that you can take with you; and
— 1-2 feedback/planning sessions.
