My goal in providing counseling is to help people grow and further develop skills and strategies that will assist them in living the best versions of their lives. When conducting psychological assessments, I aim to provide thorough and helpful answers to questions or concerns put forth by my clients or their referring providers.
I find working with people of different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, abilities, and sexual/gender differences to be a very enriching experience. Even those of us who look the same and have similar backgrounds can still be highly diverse in our own values and views about many aspects of life and our world. I strongly respect and value the individual differences that each client brings to our work together. Listening to, and caring about, each person’s unique story and journey through life is an important process in a therapeutic relationship. It is one that I do not take lightly and for which I have great respect. When working with clients, I seek to help them recognize their strengths, affirm their goals, identify and work on needed changes to make in order to accomplish their goals, and encourage/support them in their journey to live the best versions of their lives.
